Komfi could be a word play on comfy… The clever designers at Komfi have obviously done their home work on this one. Komfi have completely redesigned their range of mattresses, and now included a 10 year guarantee on all models and standard. What’s great is that these super mattresses are made in England. In a large 40,000 square foot factory in West Yorkshire. Yes, another bed and mattresses manufacturer in West Yorkshire or as we like to call it, bed country.

 These foam based products are vacuum packed mattresses and vacuum sealed. They are then compressed and rolled meaning they can be shipped fast nationwide direct to the customer. We like Komfi because they are an NHS approved supplier of mattresses. This is due to their unique range of waterproof mattresses <>. Waterproof mattresses are essential in the health, care and hospitality markets. What makes this unique is the fact that these are vacuum rolled mattresses and we don’t often see vacuum pack foam mattresses which are also waterproof, making these the perfect solution for the aforementioned markets.

This model has a 50mm layer of Neuform memory foam which offers more cushioning. As this mattress is made from an eco high density foam it also makes it totally hypoallergenic and suitable for allergy sufferers. Bed bugs and other mites cannot survive inside this style of foam.

Finished in a waterproof Nautilus Crib 5 cover which is suitable for the care, medical and hospitality sectors. This model is also available with a Coolmax cover and Seaqual® upcycled cover. 

Komfi are also leading the way with the environment. This is fantastic as they have come up with the smart idea of using recycled re-engineered foam in some of  their product lines. The ecofoam range of vacuum sealed mattresses use 100% recycled foam, and feature in all of the ‘Active’ range of mattresses.

Although Komfi (Comfy mattresses…) specialise in foam-based mattresses, this doesn’t mean that your mattress needs to be 100% foam. Komfi has a range of products, and this includes the entry level 1000 pocket model called the Komfi Select 1000 Pocket Sprung Mattress.

We love this mattress because it’s 20cm, a good depth, and included 1000 full height pocket springs with a 40mm layer of reflex foam on top. What makes this even better is the encapsulation. The pocket springs are surrounded by a foam wall, this is called an encapsulated mattress. What this does it act as a support wall for the mattress, meaning you get edge to edge support from the entire sleep surface of the mattress.
